The Valerie Fund Children's Center

Established in 1976 as a non-profit volunteer organization, the Valerie Fund provides financial support for a network of children’s centers for cancer and blood disorders. These centers offer highly personalized, comprehensive medical care within regional hospitals throughout New Jersey, including Overlook Hospital and Morristown Memorial Hospital. Together, these centers form one of the largest and most advanced pediatric hematology/oncology networks of its kind in the country. Each center treats children with diverse blood disorders, including:

  • Sickle cell anemia
  • Thalassemia
  • Hemophilia
  • White blood cell and/or platelet abnormalities
  • Bleeding conditions

Patients at the Valerie Fund Children’s Centers benefit from the skills of a team of professionals, including:

  • Clinical nurse specialists
  • Specially trained nurses
